Will there be food available and drink?
We will have some amazing food vendors and, for those of you old enough to have a drink, we have a fully stocked bar! The Bar and Food Stalls will be open from 12:30pm until 9pm. They include: Donkey Stone Brewing Co. (Bar), Pizza Guys, Grandpa Greene’s, Greek street food, Burger Van
Can I bring my own food & drink?
YOU CAN BRING SEALED PLASTIC WATER BOTTLES TO WELLIFEST
We cannot allow other food or drink to be brought on site for a number of reasons. In the interests of providing a safe event, our security must search attendees on entry and it wouldn’t be practical to search through 1000 picnic baskets. It’s our responsibility to take steps to prevent underage drinking too, something which we believe it would be impossible to police if everyone were allowed to bring their own drinks.
Will seating be provided?
No seating will be provided as this is a fully standing event, however, you are welcome to bring chairs or rugs.
What about First Aid for emergencies?
St John’s Ambulance will be on site to provide emergency First Aid.
Will there be loud music?
There will be music played from the main stage only. We have worked closely with Environmental Health at Oldham Council to ensure that sound levels are kept at a reasonable level so as not to disturb residents.
What about security?
The WelliFest organisers recruit the services of a reputable security company with extensive experience in events of this kind. Security is our absolute priority to deliver a safe festival for all attendees. We operate a zero drugs tolerance and searches will be carried out on entry.
What about anti-social behaviour?
There will be a heavy security presence on site. There will be fencing around the site and further security fencing will also be in place in front of the stage.
What about rubbish?
Bins and skips will be provided throughout the site
Where are the main gates?
Access will be via Well-i-hole road only. See Venue page
What about transport?
Many of our attendees will be travelling on foot from the local vicinity. The event is well placed between Greenfield and Mossley train stations for anyone travelling from further afield. Music will finish at 10pm giving attendees the opportunity to catch one of two trains in either direction afterwards. See Venue page
There will be free parking available close to the entrance to WelliFest. Car park attendants will be on hand to guide you to a parking space.
How will this event benefit Saddleworth?
Surplus Funds from WelliFest will go to Charities and Community Projects supported by Rotary. Rotarians give their services free, so there are no administrative costs taken from the money raised.
The benefits of hosting such an event in Saddleworth are endless. Local businesses will benefit hugely from the event; Well-i-hole Farm, pubs, bars, hotels & inns, taxi companies and local shops. The festival will enhance the cultural & social image of Saddleworth too.
What about local bands?
A number of local bands make up the line-up for WelliFest. We are committed to providing a platform for local artists to perform with more recognised names.
